I see within my heart

Everyone has his or her own destiny: someone has a happy and carefree childhood and adolescence, and to others God sends different ordeals right after birth. And then the thing of utmost importance is to go through this ordeal, not to curse your fate and to learn, despite everything, to enjoy life to the full.

That's the life Khrystyna Yurchyshyn lives and creates, and now we are introducing you to a short story about her life. When I was born, I was immediately diagnosed underdevelopment of optic nerves of both eyes, which means that I am blind from birth. But this diagnosis is not a sentence for me, it has never depressed me, perhaps the reason is that I am surrounded by beautiful, supportive and responsive people. 

Since childhood I have led an active life: and at the age of 5 I took part in the concerts in the Folk House Prosvita in Sukhovolia village. I adore music as well as I like singing and writing poetry. I praise God for having graciously gifted me with a voice. 

I have always worked a lot at myself and I am a prize-winner and laureate of many international competitions. In 2010 I won a Grand Prix in the television competition VIVAT. At the age of 18, I presented a solo concert. I have many songs that were recorded by a recording company Lida, those songs were written especially for me by really very dear to me people – a singer Natalie Samson and by a poet and composer Alexander Shevchenko.

I have quite number of dreams. I want to record a lot of new songs and to shoot a video clip for a new song. And my biggest dream is to create my own family, and to give birth to a baby. I want to appeal to all people with disabilities: don’t shrink into yourself, don’t have any hang-ups or inferiority complex about yourself, don’t take offence at people, and don’t blame anyone for what happened to you. 

Live in a hope of God, do good and help others. We must keep smiling every day and remember that we do create our own future. And as long as Lord is in our heart, our life will be meaningful and happy.
